Since July 1, 2014, Senate Bill 854 requires all contractors and subcontractors to register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) before bidding, being awarded, or performing work on any public works project in California, regardless of tier or dollar amount.
No DIR Registration = No Public Works
